VOCALITY is a jazz band that focuses on three voices: Claudia Burghard sings together with MAYBEBOP baritone Oliver Gies and vocalist Nils Ole Peters - embedded into the rhythm trio consisting of Markus Horn (piano), Lars Hansen (bass) and Dieter "Zipper" Schmigelok (drums).
The arrangements by Oliver and Markus stylistically float between “Lambert, Hendricks & Ross”, the “New York Voices” and “Manhattan Transfer”: Bossa, swing, samba, ballad, blues or pop jazz, sometimes weightless, sometimes gripping , sometimes modern, sometimes old fashioned, but always state of the art.
